Nicholas Snow

Nicholas Kyriazis has taken his diploma and PhD in Economics at Bonn University, Germany. He has worked at the Directorate General of Research of the European Parliament as an advisor to the Minister of finance and the Governor of the National Bank of Greece. He has been a visiting professor at Harvard and Trier Universities. Professor of Economics at University of Thessaly, Greece. He has published 16 academic books (Cambridge, Springer (5), Routledge, Nagoya) 85 papers in academic journals, 25 novels in Greek and 7 in English. In 2005 the President of the French Republic gave him Frances highest decoration, the “Knight of the Legion of Honour”.

When should the anniversary of the Battle of Marathon be celebrated? Want to know the real reason the Spartans got there late? Did all the portions of the Athenians fight against the Persians? These and other questions will be answered at the Conference on the anniversary of the Battle of Marathon, which will be held on Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 at the Aquamarina Hotel in Mati Attica. Speakers will be Sot. Glykofridis, Sarandos Kargakos, Apostolos Pierris and Nikolaos Kyriazis. The day is under the auspices of the “Panathenaic” Panhellenic Women’s Union, co-assisted by the Society for the Study of Collective Problems (E.M.PRO.S.) with the contribution of the Municipality of Marathon.
